The Son of God Joined with the Sun God | The Christmas Mixer

Most Christians know  Jesus Christ was not actually born on December 25th, and most would agree the exact date is not so important as the general observance of the birth & advent of Messiah. I would also generally agree, except – of all the days in the calendar to observe the advent of Christ, the worst possible day would be December 25th; And of all the celebrations to mix together with the celebration of the the physical birth of the Son of God, the worst and most uncomplimentary, and indeed the most abominable, would be with the  celebrated birth of the sun god!

Is it so – while pagans celebrate the birth of the sun god, Christians celebrate the birth of the Son of God?   If so, I wish at least the two were celebrated in a more distinct & separate way, but the two are blended together in such a way that it’s difficult to discern which traditions are pagan and which are of God. In fact most Christians do not know, nor care to know just how pagan the Christmas celebration actually is, even though the level of research required to verify this would be easy enough for a second grader to find.

So I will not waist much energy to “prove” what should already be common knowledge. Instead, I’ll  assume most Christians with any regard for truth have at least  enough wit to acknowledge that there’s a good deal of pagan tradition in the mix; and I will appeal to the most fundamental facets of the Christian faith to bring us to the most logical conclusion that the Christian faith has no business, nor pleasure with any of these pagan celebrations, nor can such traditions be “Christianized”.

Sanctified

“And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.”   – Ezekiel 44:23

Sorry  to remind and emphasize such an elementary precept of God, but for what it’s worth, I must reiterate such a principle which God insists upon. Not only is this a basic precept & principle, but a sure  standard which God has made abundantly clear, which shall not be compromised in any way.

To be holy, that is – sanctified, or in other words, set apart; Set apart from the corruption of the world, to be kept pure as God’s special people for God’s special purposes. That is the basic premise of what it means to be holy, or in other words, sanctified, or a saint. To be a Christian is to be set apart – to be in the world, but not of the world.

This standard carries through both Old & New Testament – “Be holy for I am holy” (Lev 11:44-45, 1 Pet 1:16) . And so many times, God has made it explicitly clear how His people are not to follow the practices & traditions of the pagan world – “do not”,  He says, “imitate their detestable ways” (Deut 18:9).

“…what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial?” 2 Corinthians 6:14-15

Syncretism

The next word to be defined is syncretism, which is the opposite of being set apart; Rather, it is mixing together the sacred with secular, or blending the true religion of Yahweh with pagan religion with all its idolatry. Such fusion has a more inclusive & tolerant appeal so its many forms have always been popular throughout the history of Israel as well as the history of the New Testament Church.

How can we think for a moment that mixing up with pagan tradition is okay?! There are just too many clear & firm instructions which strictly forbid such. Nor is there a place to “clean-up” or “recycle” such traditions. If the Israelites had taken a pagan alter, scratched off the name of Baal, and wrote in its place the name ‘Yahweh’ – would that have honored God?  And if it didn’t honor God then, would it honor God now?

Did we not learn anything from the history of Israel?! Did the prophets not express how infuriating God became from the mixing & blending of light & darkness? Was not such syncretism the result of the devastating fury of the LORD?! Did not God fiercely reject His own people for blending the name of the LORD with the customs of Baal?!

Just consider one of many expressions of God’s utter hatred towards  such popular syncretism:

“I hate, I despise your religious festivals; your assemblies are a stench to me. Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for them. Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your stringed instruments. But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream! “Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, people of Israel? You have lifted up the shrine of Sikkuth, your king, and Kiyyun, the pedestal of your idols, the star of your god, which you made for yourselves. Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,” says the Lord, whose name is God Almighty.”  – Amos 5:21-27

So what’s so bad about Christmas?

“Hello, is this Baal, the sun god?”

“Yes it is. Who is this?”

“This is Jesus, the Son of God.  I just wanted to ask if you’d like to celebrate both our birthdays together…”

Lining up the birth of Jesus Christ with the supposed birth of the sun god is flat out ridiculous! It would be like proposing to the Jews to celebrate Hanukkah on the same day as Hitler’s birthday,   or worse, Antiachus Epiphany’s!

Christmas is a Roman Catholic adaption of the Roman winter solstice festival Saturnalia, which is concluded with the celebrated birth of the ‘unconquered sun’ (aka Baal) on December 25. So lets just break this down now:

First off, the Saturnalia festival was basically an observance of the changing season and beckoning to the agricultural god – Saturn; Saturn also being the mythological equivalent of Satan.  This carnival-like celebration of drunken revelry & utter debauchery  was a long standing & deep rooted tradition which was thoroughly ingrained into the culture.

The Roman Catholic Church, so inclined to compromise the most fundamental of all Christian standards, which we already covered (being set apart, holy, sanctified), had ventured to adopt the beloved Saturnalia celebration by renaming it The Christ Mass; taking the customs and “cleaned them up a bit” and made it a so-called “Christian Holiday”. Such a compromise made it much more conducive to absorb the pagan masses into the  Roman Church Empire.

Thus The Christ Mass is one of the grandest schemes of syncretism, being a thoroughly Roman Catholic device, which employed its standard hallmark of  blending the sacred with the secular, in brazen defiance of the most elementary of all Christian standards – that being set apart, being holy, being sanctified.

Not to mentioned the Roman Catholic Mass is an abomination in it of itself! That blasphemous ritual of the Eucharist which presumes to sacrifice the body of Christ again and again, as if Christs’ atonement was not finished & paid for once, for all!   ~ See The Eucharist Strikes the Gospel

All the Christmas traditions from the tree, to the holly & mistletoe, Santa Claus, exchanging gifts, party & merry-making,  dates, etc, – all directly correspond to pagan idolatry; All are symbols & expressions of wicked pagan-idolatrous practices which have binding effects, so it becomes extremely difficult to break away from such traditions, even when we know they are wrong. And let us remember that idolatry is no trivial matter.

Now, I know we are no longer bound to the Law, yet, in the Law, there is still much to learn about the holiness of God and His holy people. Consider some of these instructions:

Why did the LORD say, “You shall not cut yourselves nor shave the front of your head for the dead” (Deut 14:1)?

Why did God command, “You shall not boil a goat in its mothers milk.” (Deut 14:21)?

Why did the LORD forbid a natural element, “You shall not plant for yourself any tree as a wooden image, near the altar which you build for yourself to the Lord your God. You shall not set up a (sacred) pillar, which the LORD your God hates.” (Deut 16:21-22)?

Because those things are pagan models, and God does not want true worship even to resemble those pagan designs. In fact, the scriptures declare, the LORD your God hates those things. Consider the the pagan abominations of King Ahab, and how it is all connected to a green tree:

“Indeed, he made his son pass through fire (sacrificed), according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. He sacrificed and burned incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree.” ~ 2 Kings 16:3-4

The spirit connected to the green tree is the same spirit that seduced God’s people to break their vows with the Lord too many times. To set up a green tree in our home or sanctuary is like keeping a memento from our old lover who used and abused us and even raped and sought to destroy us, and even though we’ve been redeemed by Jesus, the true lover of our soul, we still keep that memento of that psychopath who still harasses us and wishes to destroy us.

That’s not the way I see it…

Yeah, I used to sing that same tune, but eventually I realized it’s not about the way I see it, nor the way I feel,  the way I  intend, or any other egocentric preference. If we seek to truly worship God, then we need to forget about our own subjective fancy, and adhere to the objective standard which God so clearly defined. To abandon our self-centered ways to then seek after the ways of God is the essence of true discipleship.

“Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me”   ~ Matthew 16:24

Such a paradigm of self denial is completely contrary to the way of the world. The world scoffs at such a lifestyle, and the world despises those who refuse to partake in its festive celebrations; In fact, the world absolutely hates Jesus, that is the true Jesus, and His true followers. Indeed, the world hates the truth, hates the light, and hates the Gospel.

Yet the world loves Christmas! Actually, the world not just loves Christmas, the world is head-over-heals-fanatical about Christmas!

So how is it that the world is so crazy about Christmas,  when the world is so hostile towards true Christianity?

Umm, because Christmas is not truly a Christian holiday, and if it were truly Christian, only true Christians would celebrate it. But that the whole world comes together to celebrate a pseudo-christian holiday is a downright mockery of true Christianity! To mix together the birth of the Son of God with the pagan delusion which celebrates the birth of the sun-god is an insult to God, and a scorn against God’s most basic precepts & principles!

“You shall not at all do as we are doing here today – every man doing whatever is right in his own eyes…”   ~ Deut 12:8

Wake up O sleeper, and see things for what they really are! Break away from the spells which bind us, throw away the yoke of the culture, fear not those who criticize, forget your own ideas and remember the God who is worthy of our full devotion!  It’s time to see things from God’s perspective, forsaking the whims of our own heart, abandon the traditions of the world, and the prince of this world, and cleave to the true and living God, who is Lord and Creator of all!

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, but in all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”   ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

False Light

Many Christians who celebrate Christmas do not celebrate Halloween, since it has more obvious overtones of darkness. Well,  at least Halloween is more candid about its darkness, but much worse, is a darkness masquerading as light! The Christmas celebration with all its accompanied tradition is the epitome of false light, which has been propagated by none other than the false Church of Rome – you will know them by their fruits.

“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. “You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? “So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. “A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. “So then, you will know them by their fruits.       “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’   ~ Matthew 7:15-23

Gideon’s golden ephod is another example of false light (Judges 8:27); or worship of the bronze serpent (2 Kings 18:4), being idolatry in the form of true religion. Never has it ever been acceptable to lavish our devotion upon anything or anyone but God, whether it be a holy article, relic, saint, angel or any person, place or thing besides the true & living God.

Separating from the World

For those still waddling between light and darkness, consider this a wake-up call to rise up and bring your faith & devotion to the next level. Let this message stir your heart and ignite a fire of true light and genuine truth.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”   ~ Romans 12:2

It’s time to put aside childish ways of gratifying our flesh and love for the world, or the things of the world. “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him”  ~ 1 John 2:15

Especially the things which make a mockery of God and God’s true order. The mainstream Church has jumped on the bandwagon of the most ridiculous display of mixing the sacred name of the LORD with the blasphemous name of Baal! Such compromise has resulted in great loss of discernment – resulting in failure to recognize the abundance of idolatry from Hollywood to holidays.

As for me and my house, we will have no part.

“I did not sit in the assembly of mockers & merrymakers, nor did I rejoice; I sat alone because of Your hand. For You have filled me with indignation.”   ~ Jeremiah 15:17

But if it’s anyone’s conviction to observe & celebrate the coming of our Lord, then let us completely  separate that celebration from the detestable traditions of Saturn, or Satan. Let us set a different date, and differentiate the Holy Name of the Lord from the profane elements of the world. Let there be a stark contrast between light & darkness so we may truly honor the LORD.

Alternative Countermeasures Against the Spirits of False Light

There is an evil phenomenon manifesting through the winter solstice ritual, which starts with the Halloween ritual, escalates during winter solstice, and culminates on December 25. This ritual warfare results in the concentration of satanic power with the purpose of assaulting the saints of God, while the associated celebrations serve to disarm them and distract their vigilance.

Attacking the enemy during their celebrations is an effective strategy, with many examples displayed throughout history. The TET offensive of the Vietnam war is one example; Islam has been notorious for attacks made during holidays, and the Syrian/Egyptian alliance against Israel was launched on Yam Kippur in 1973, resulting in a conflict which killed 20,000 people. Thus, it is no accident that the most extravagant celebration of the year is during the time of the heaviest spiritual attack of the year.

Only those who’s discernment has not been compromised with such seductions can see how serious the battle gets during this season. Therefore, the few that I know join together to confront such evil. While everyone else is distracted with feasting & merrymaking, we are fasting & praying for the power of God to rebuke & subdue the spirits, while interceding for our distracted brethren.

The Painting of the Green Tree

There was a certain man who had a wife whom he dearly loved and provided a good life for. Sadly, one day she ran off with another man who promised the world to her. At first, it was like a dream come true; He showered her with many gifts, he created beautiful paintings for her, and every Sunday they would go to the top of a certain mountain topped with a beautiful green tree – there they would lay beneath the tree to make romantic memories together. But after some time, he started abusing her, going off with other women, and treating her like a slave. The abuse then escalated to the point that it seemed like he wanted to destroy her.

In desperation, she called her former husband to confess her treachery and begged his forgiveness. Moved with compassion for her, he forgave and redeemed her back as his wife. So deeply touched by his loving kindness, she praised & adored her faithful husband as the true lover of her soul.

One day her husband needed to go on a long business trip, and while he was away, her old lover sent her apology letters and many gifts. Immediately, she threw it all away but was in emotional turmoil the rest of the day. The next day, as she was outside talking with her neighbors, another package arrived. It was very large, so her neighbors helped her carry it into the house. Upon opening the package, they were in awe to see a most exquisite painting of a mountain with a beautiful green tree atop, which closely resembled the place of their romantic escapades.

Her neighbors, being artists, said they had never seen such a magnificent painting in their entire life. “I cannot accept it.” She said, “It is from my old lover.”

“Nonsense!” her neighbors exclaimed, “A masterpiece of this magnitude must be displayed for all to see! Let us hang it up for you.”

Having hung the painting in the front room, other neighbors walking by saw the painting through the front window and were compelled to come take a closer look. As she invited them in to view the painting, her house became filled with excitement as they all marveled on the wonderful piece of work. “Our other artist friends must see this masterpiece” they said, so she invited them to come back the next Sunday.

When they all came back, the whole house was filled with jubilee over the magnificent painting. They all had such a blessed time together that they agreed to get together the next Sunday; Thus, it turned out to be a Sunday tradition that the whole neighborhood would come together to sing and dance as they admired the painting of the green tree.

After some time, her husband returned one Sunday to a house full of merry souls. “Who are all these people?” he asked.
“They’re our neighbors” she replied, “and we’ve been so blessed to get to know each other!”
Looking at the painting of the green tree, he asked, “Where did you get that painting?”
“Please don’t be upset,” she said, “my old lover sent it, and I was going to reject it, but the neighbors insisted they hang this magnificent painting in the center of our home. It didn’t seem right at first but look now how it brought us all together.”

Deeply heartbroken, her husband asked, “How could you accept anything from that scoundrel who nearly destroyed you?!”
“Because” she answered, “you expressed how you intended to invite the neighbors over, so I did all this to honor you. Therefore, the painting in question is sanctified.”

I composed this parable as God was impressing so strongly upon my heart how important fidelity is. Our own views and opinions on the matter is besides the point; What really matters is what God thinks. So consider the faithful Husband, and how inappropriate and heartbreaking for Him to see his beloved wife keeping mementos from her old lover, and how ridiculous her rational for keeping it. How could we do that to the true lover of our soul?!

God did not leave us guessing about what He thinks of such matters, but has clearly explained about separating ourselves from the seducer of our souls, and what it means to be set apart for the true lover of our souls. The green tree theme, so prominent at the center of the pagan cults, has been referenced multiple times throughout the scriptures in the negative; And God has expressly commanded us to not imitate the pagan customs.

“…what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial?

Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,         “I WILL DWELL AMONG THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM;         AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

“Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPERATE,” says the Lord.         “AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN;         And I will welcome you.

“And I will be a father to you,         And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,”         Says the Lord Almighty.

2nd Corinthians 6:14-18
